Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals are important milestones in our lives, and these are times when many people feel that they would like to mark the occasion with a Church ceremony of some kind.

Baptisms
The birth or adoption of a child is a moment for celebration and we are delighted to share the special occasion with you. Baptism is a sign of God’s love which comes to us without any ‘strings attached’, we are just invited to receive this gift of love.
Baptisms usually take place in the morning service and the minister will be pleased to meet with you personally to plan the service.

Weddings
The URC affirms Equal Marriage and Guildford URC’s building is authorised for marriages, marriage blessings and the blessing of Civil Partnerships. It is important to note that a Registrar must also be present at some of these events. We would be delighted to help celebrate your special day.
Guildford United Reformed Church has an open and inclusive policy towards marriage. The law in England and Wales allows the marriage of two people of the same gender and Guildford United Reformed Church is registered for such marriages to be held in church.
Funerals
Through funerals and services of thanksgiving, our church offers support to families and friends faced with the loss of a loved one.
Please contact the minister who will meet with you, offer support and help you to plan a funeral that reflects the life of the deceased and their individual circumstances.
